The building opened as Cine Texas on 1947-09-11, became Cines Lauren García from 1996, and reopened as Cinemes Texas on 2014-09-17 under filmmaker Ventura Pons, programming original-version re-releases and Catalan-dubbed titles; named Spain's best cinema by Europa Cinemas in 2016.
