Art-house cinema in Milano, Italy Part of Progetto Lumiere

Milanese single-screen cinema near Piazzale Loreto, run by Progetto Lumiere, for quality films, first works, retrospectives and a Thursday cineforum; a Europa Cinemas member. According to Zero, it began in 1908 as the theatre of the boys' oratory dedicated to the Madonna di Loreto, gained a projection booth and Cinemeccanica projector in 1936 (opening as a cinema with 'Don Bosco'), and moved into the present hall at no. 7 in 1947, with a heyday from the 1950s to the 1970s of Catholic, art-house and cineforum titles; milanoalcinema.it instead gives 1955 as its opening year.
