Single-screen art-house cinema opened in 1939, designed by architect Giacomo Cerina Zegna in a pre-existing building. Screens films in their original language, specializing in classic, foreign, and independent films. Founded in September 1939 as Cinema Carlalberto (later Carlo Alberto), it was Cinema Asti until 1966, was renamed Centrale, and on 30 January 1968 officially became the "Centrale d'Essai" when AIACE Torino was founded. After a renovation in the second half of 2018 it reopened on 27 December 2018 with new equipment and the hall shortened by several metres, cutting capacity to about 126-128 seats (previously 238). Part of the Slow Cinema circuit (with Fratelli Marx and Due Giardini in Turin, I Portici in Fossano, Il Mulino in Piossasco and Politeama in Ivrea), a member of the Europa Cinemas network and of FICE.
