Cultural centre in Ljubljana
Cankarjev dom is Slovenia’s principal cultural and congress centre, presenting music, theatre, dance, film, exhibitions and major international festivals within Edvard Ravnikar’s landmark building. Its film programme is centred on Kosovelova dvorana, while the larger Linhartova dvorana is used for festival and special screenings, including LIFFE. It is a multipurpose cultural venue rather than a full-time cinema; refreshments are available in its bars, while umbrellas and luggage must be left outside the halls.
